      Mr. James Wanlass,
      Box 56
      Victor, Idaho

      Dear Brother:
President Hyrum M. Smith received your letter of July 24, 1916, in which you requested certain information of a genealogical character. The following is all that this office has thus far been able to secure: -
Andrew Wanlass was born on April 17, 1857, and died on April 25, 1857. Robena Wanlass was born on February 26, 1858, and died on March 29, 1859, both deaths having occurred before the opening of the present Bathgate Cemetery. That cemetery was first used in December, 1860. No information respecting the burial place of Robena and Andrew Wanlass has been obtained.
It is suggested that you bring this matter to the attention of the Genealogical Society of Utah, whose headquarters are in Salt Lake City. That organization may be able to secure for you all the information which you call for in your letter to President Smith.
      Respectfully,

      (signed) John E. Cottam,
      Secretary, Eruopean Mission.
