St. Louis Post-Dispatch, 2 Feb 1896
Society Belles of Dallas, Texas
...Of all the women of Dallas, Mrs. H.W. Wandless is more widely known for her beauty. She has a face that instantly attracts attention as a beautiful picture. The soft dark hair, brown eyes and olive coloring forms a whole that is wonderfully atractive. Mrs. Wandless is a native Texan, but was educated at the Potter College, Bowling Green, KY. She is the daughter of Mrs. M.M. Davis of Houston, and was a belle in that city before her marriage two years ago. Dr. Wandless is a Virginian by birth and now a popular specialist of Dallas.
